James Patrick Lenon
After Receiving a BA in Percussion Performance from Lewis & Clark College in 2011 I moved to Los Angeles where I served as the drummer for Master Ghanaian Xylophonist, SK Kakraba for two years. I played in Rock and Fusion groups and honed my recording skills through home studio experimentation and a studio internship. I moved back to my hometown of Seattle in 2015. In addition to gigging with Americana, Jazz and Rock groups, I co-founded the fully improvised psychedelic rock trio, Beyond Captain Orca! featuring producer, Jack Endino, the Moroccan fusion group Argan Band, Warren Zevon cover band The Excitable Boys, and the groove-jazz trio Garbage Island. During this time I also recorded various solo projects which are available on my bandcamp page: jplenon.bandcamp.com. Since moving to Spokane in 2024 I have joined hip hop band Kung Fu Vinyl, country outfit The Holy Broke, and perform regularly with Lucas Brown. I travel back to Seattle a few times a year for gigs.
